Dr. Chelsea Fisher is a graduate of the University of Kansas, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree and a Masters in Health Administration. Dr. Fisher attended the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and completed her general surgery residency at Truman Medical Center in Kansas City. In her free time Dr. Fisher enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. Dr. Fisher’s clinical interests include breast cancer surgery and complex hernia repair.
Dr. Kelly James is a proud native of New York but has made his home in Missouri. He has been a general surgeon with the practice since 1993. He is a graduate of New York University and attended medical school at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed his general surgery residency at Stonybrook University in Long Island, NY. He is board certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Sigi Joseph is a fellowship trained minimally invasive and weight loss surgeon. He earned his medical degree at St. John’s Medical College in Bangalore, India. He completed surgical training in the United Kingdom at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, Scotland. He also completed a surgical residency at Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO and then a fellowship in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX.
Dr. Clint Gates is a native of Kiowa, Kansas, he graduated medical school from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 2014 and completed general surgery residency at University of Kansas-Wichita. His general surgery special interests include gastrointestinal surgery, endocrine surgery, ventral and hiatal hernia repairs, skin and soft tissue disease, anorectal surgery, and dialysis access. He is proficient in robotic, laparoscopic, and open surgical approaches.
Dr. Shaan Akhtar is a fellowship trained minimally invasive, robotic, and bariatric surgeon. He is a native of Arizona, who graduated from Arizona State University for undergraduate education, and the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix for his medical school training.
PA. Tina Tran is a graduate from the University of Kansas, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Biology. She attended the University of Missouri – Kansas City and completed her Masters of Medical Science Physician Assistant studies. Tina is a board certified Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of the American Academy of PAs and American Associates of Surgical Physician Assistants.
